"O Fortuna!" You've probably heard the ominous tune in a sports commercial or inserted in a TV show right as something intense is about to happen. The song comes from Carl Orff's scenic cantata Carmina Burana, which includes themes of drinking and gluttony. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that this Charlotte Symphony show's post-concert party will feature a beer-tasting provided by Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, along with a performance by The Charlotte Waites. Concert is conducted by Allen Jarrett and sung by the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte and Charlotte Children's Choir.
