MUSIC: Mediaeval Baebes

Thursday, Oct. 23

Just take one look at the English sextet the Mediaeval Baebes and you'll see they're hot -- even a bit fiery. But beyond the looks is a music ensemble that evokes fantasy and medieval times with soothing harmonies about nature and the circle of life. The band takes lyrics from ancient texts and speaks in Middle-English with classical and folk sounds sure to enchant. $16-$18. 7 p.m. Tremont Music Hall, 400 West Tremont Ave. 704-343-9494.
