MUSIC: Q-Tip and The Cool Kids

Saturday, Nov. 29

Oh, how I miss the '90s! Thankfully, bands like Q-Tip and The Cool Kids have preserved a little bit of old school ways via music. Their tracks have those feel-good, do-the-running man essence and beats, which somehow managed to make it through the turn of the century. Rap and hip-hop have changed a lot over the days, yet the tunes of Q-Tip and The Cool Kids are still entertaining -- mixing the old with the new. Both acts will perform in Charlotte when the 4th Annual 2K Sports Bounce Tour visits Amos' Southend. 18 and up. $27.50. 8 p.m. Amos' Southend, 1423 S. Tryon St. 707-377-6874. www.amossouthend.com.
