MUSIC: Slick Idiot

Sunday, Sept. 20

The band Slick Idiot is comprised of two very important German industrial music pioneers: En Esch (vocals) and Gunter Schulz (guitar). Both were members of KMFDM until 1999. Also in the electronic shuffle is Victoria Levy, who provides a mix of lush, seductive vocals, while Gregg Ziemba pounds on drums. Together they are slick, but not idiots. In support of the band's newest album, titled SUCKSESS, the group is embarking on its "In The Flesh" 2009 tour, which makes a stop in the Q.C. on Sept. 20. This very non-mainstream band will perform, surprise surprise, at Charlotte's Underground with openers Angels on Acid, Carphax Files and End the DJ. 8 p.m. Charlotte's Underground, 4205 Monroe Rd. www.myspace.com/charlottes_underground.
