NoDa Giveback Series sets benefit for troops on May 7

Make your way out to the Neighborhood Theatre for A Get-Together for the Troops on May 7. The event will launch the NODA/CLT Giveback Series -- a plethora of periodically scheduled events to benefit and increase awareness of local charities.

The dance floor is open to those who want to go and get their groove on, or just get closer to the action. Part-Time Blues Band, Belmont Playboys, Evelynn Rose, Heywire, Wavy Space and Parodi Kings will add musical pizzazz to the charity event, hosted by E-S Guthrie. The Philosopher's Stone Tavern is co-sponsoring and all proceeds donated for A Get-Together for the Troops will assist the N.C. Heroes Fund.

Early arrival is encouraged for those looking to cop-a-squat as seating is first-come, first-serve. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $10.

Be sure to attend the event, mingle, dance and show your support for the troops. Future charity event possibilities include benefits for Toys for Tots, local food banks, in addition to a benefit for musicians who have fallen ill.
