Once Upon a Pastie
Quite obviously a burlesque show, Once Upon a Pastie is slated to feature a group of gals called the Disney Dames After Dark. If that doesn’t sound enticing enough, there’s also special performances by Silver Kitsune, Meredith Sparkles (a crowned princess of Southern Exposure), Ophelia PopTart, Amelia Bareheart, Pepper LaRouge, Johnny Anonymous and Big Mamma D. The show, a mix of burlesque, comedy and music, is also celebrating Upstage’s one-year anniversary. The venue frequently hosts cool, art-friendly events in the heart of NoDa. Oh, and there’s the option to order food from New Orleans-style restaurant Boudreaux’s — just in case you want to spice things up even more.
