Parties for the Land
Parties for the Land is the Catawba Lands Conservancy's signature fall gala. The fundraiser will feature live music by the Bad Daddies, plenty of food, drinks and silent and live auctions. In addition, this annual event provides exclusive opportunities to match interests with the outdoors. Attendees can also get first dibs at purchasing tickets to smaller, themed parties -- such as landscaping instruction, fly fishing lessons or yoga in the garden -- that take place throughout 2006. This year's gala will be held at a new location, the Design Center Atrium at Byron's South End. It happens on Sat., Nov. 5, at 7:30pm.
