Pop Life: A tribute to 1988

This week at Pop Life -- Charlotte's most eclectic nightlife event -- Creative Loafing and The Sol Kitchen will pay homage to one of the best years in music: 1988. As seen in a recent issue of Vibe magazine, '88 was a time when some of the world's best hip-hop music hit record stores -- by artists like De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Big Daddy Kane and more. So we'll be playing the best of that era Wednesday, July 30 from 7 p.m. until at Loft 1523 (1523 Elizabeth Ave). Gen X-ers unite!
