When CMS initiated a new anti-bullying policy, McGarry led the charge against it, saying the policy could lead to “an aggressive, pro-homosexual agenda in classrooms,” whatever that means. Not content with proving her homophobic bona fides once, McGarry doubled down in April when she wanted CMS to excuse sensitive fundamentalist Christian students from school during a “Day of Silence,” so they wouldn’t be exposed to the dangerous idea of treating gays and lesbians like human beings.
