Q.C. ready for Blitzkrieg Bop 

At 8 p.m. on Nov. 15, at Snug Harbor, Ramones Fest will be held to celebrate the music of punk rock's greatest bands and biggest influences.

The bands performing are The Belmont Playboys, The Flat Tires (with special guest Jeff Clayton), The Defilers, Southside Punx and Trouble Walkers.

The event is organized by Mark and Lisa Cline of Productions, who also organize the annual Rockabilly BBQ.

  • On Saturday, Oct. 21, hundreds gathered at Camp North End on Statesville Avenue for Charlotte's first black alternative music festival. We captured some of the bands in action on stage, but mostly we surveyed the grounds as fans, families, vendors and more lounged around the sprawling, colorful Camp North End site.
