Queen's Fab Fest
To raise money for Campus Pride — the Charlotte-based national organization working to create safer college environments for LGBT students — Queen City Theatre Company is presenting five entertaining events. Called Queen's Fab Fest, the group kicks off with the comedic musical Falsettos. That's followed by performances from drag star Miss Coco Peru on June 27, Pandora Boxx of RuPaul's Drag Race on June 28, Twisted Broadway-A Broadway Cabaret on June 29, and The Wizard of Oz, a sing-a-long with Buff Faye, on June 30. What could be more exciting than singing "Over the Rainbow" with one of the Q.C.'s best drag queens? Plus, it's a good excuse to break out the ruby slippers you may have stored away in the closet.
