Argentinean artists Raul Diaz and the late Manuel Reyna grace the Queen City with their powerful works of art being featured at the Jerald Melberg Gallery.

Born in 1952 in Cordoba, Argentina, Diaz went to school to become an architect. Soon, he felt the desire to paint. Diaz is a soulful, self-taught artist who creates humbling works that make the viewer reflect inwardly while gazing at his ethereal paintings. Diaz uses color and shading to draw people into his dreamlike world. He has since become one of the most celebrated artists in South America.

Reyna, who died in 1989, was also born in Cordoba, Argentina. Reyna is a self-taught painter as well, but with a different style than Diaz. Whereas Diaz uses color to pull viewers into his world, Reyna uses color, and composition, to isolate. His scenic paintings of his homeland allow one to feel a sense of calm and solitude.
