The Queen City's spoken word scene deserves an afternoon of poetic pandemonium. After all, April is national poetry month. Respect Da Mic — a Charlotte-based poetry slam team — has a few things lined up. The group is hosting a free writing and performance poetry slam workshop starting at 12 p.m., followed by "Spit Dat," a teen poetry showcase at 1 p.m. and the grand slam at 2 p.m. Expect plenty of uncensored adult language.
