DAVIDSON, NC: Moral corruption, revenge and mortality these are all part of Shakespeare’s greatest play, Hamlet. Davidson Community Players’ Shakespeare UNPLUGGED returns to the stage with one of Shakespeare’s most popular and powerful works.
With a cast of teen-aged actors, director Wrenn Goodrum re-imagines Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy set in the early 1990’s when grunge reigned supreme. The production of Hamlet, set in a surrealist museum, delves into the unconscious mind and dreams and will offer a poignant look at appearance and reality.
