Professor of Natural Science at Stanford University Richard N. Zare will deliver the annual Smith Lecture, discussing "Chemistry in the Service of Human Health." Zare is renowned for his research in the area of laser chemistry, which has added greatly to scientists’ understanding of chemical reactions at the molecular level.
