SPECIAL EVENT: 4th Annual Know NoDa? Scavenger Hunt

No need to worry about being too old for a scavenger hunt, because at the 4th Annual Know NoDa? Scavenger Hunt ages 21 and up are invited to participate in a smarts showdown of NoDa knowledge. Teams of two will explore NoDa and surrounding neighborhoods, taking digital photos at spots where a list of clues (if you can solve 'em) lead. Big prizes -- to be handed out on May 29 during the Hunt After Party at Neighborhood Theatre -- are in store, including a $1,000 Mastercard debit card from Fifth Third Bank for the first place winner, a $500 cash prize for second, $300 in gift certificates to local spots for third and other gift certificates to be awarded for honorable mentions. Let the games begin. Continues through May 16. $50 for two-person team.   • On Saturday, Oct. 21, hundreds gathered at Camp North End on Statesville Avenue for Charlotte's first black alternative music festival. We captured some of the bands in action on stage, but mostly we surveyed the grounds as fans, families, vendors and more lounged around the sprawling, colorful Camp North End site.
