SPECIAL EVENT:Traces

Tuesday, Oct. 28

The quintet group of performers, who make up part of the Montreal-based company Les 7 Doights De Le Main aka The 7 Fingers really know how to bust the moves. In the group's show Traces they twist, turn, flip, climb, bounce and land with balance, ease and lots of skill. But the show isn't just acrobatics. Pieces of theater and music mix together to create an act that will leave traces in your memory. It's all about abstract versions of bodily movements and soulful art forms, and it's way different than any mainstream circus act. There's more of a personal touch as you get to know the cast, while you watch their mesmerizing moves. $29.50-$44.50. Continues through Nov. 16. Times vary. McGlohon Theatre, 345 N. College St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
