Stargazer

For the week of April 7, 2004

For All Signs Mercury, ancient god of travel and communications, turned retrograde on April 6, and remains so until April 30. Retrogradation is not literal; the planet does not actually move backward. It is a phenomenon that gives the appearance of backpedaling from our perspective on the planet. We are prone to garble communications, schedules, and computers during the retrograde periods. Backup everything, and have "Plan B" ready for any communications projects you consider of serious importance during this time.

Aries Mercury retrograde enters your sign on the 12th and is likely to cause you to change your mind on multiple small things that you thought were previously settled. Aspects favor education, travel, legal interests, and long distance communications.

Taurus Concentrate on remaining realistic about your financial picture. Suddenly you just have to have a particular luxury item or something of beauty added to your life. The next thing you know, you've bought it and then there is one more bill.

Gemini Your schedule is likely to become unsettled this week because Mercury is your ruling planet (see lead paragraph). Your reflexes may not be quite up to par. Drive and handle tools with great care. You are prone to daydream and live in an ethereal world right now.

Cancer Cosmic energies for the Moon Children are quiet and reflective during this period. Finish projects, clean out file drawers, and make ready for the next surge in activity. Those who had a full calendar for the week may find it reorganizing due to others' changed plans.

Leo You are in a particularly receptive frame of mind at this time. You are open to anything that seems exciting and new, especially if there are romantic overtones. Activities involving education, travel, the law, publishing, and the internet are favored.

Virgo Changes in plan are likely on activities involving communications, education, or travel. Be prepared and schedule extra time to deal with unexpected developments. Whatever happens, you will take it in stride because your overall attitude is positive, adaptable, and expansive.

Libra You may be feeling bored and restless. You are open to fresh experiences in self-expression, including those of sexual encounters. You want new and fun delights. It is a week in which you are prone to excess on anything that feels good or is beautiful.

Scorpio You are in touch with the spiritual side of yourself this week and aware of the interconnectedness of all things. It is a favorable time to grant favors or ask for what you want from others. Reading romantic stories or words of spiritual support will grant a needed break from the mundane.

Sagittarius This is a great week for love, romance, and creative activity. Teachers of this sign get a special boost right now. You are in the mood for play and may be able to take the time for a getaway. The creative juices are flowing freely. Write down new ideas.

Capricorn Decisions that you thought were settled may come up for review this week. A painful experience of your history may now return to mind in the context of your primary relationship. The purpose is to soothe and help it heal. Your calendar may go topsy-turvy, but it is temporary.

Aquarius A relationship or a financial idea that was first conceived early this year now arrives at a decision point. You must invest more or let it go. Your creative juices are overflowing with ideas this week. Love and romance has a touch of spice and is generally favored.

Pisces You are aware of a need to break loose from the routine. You may be feeling unusually playful and have trouble being serious about anything. If you have been "sobersides" and structured for too long, this could be the week you break loose or declare outright rebellion.
