Sustainability Education through Action and Outreach
Central Piedmont Group of Sierra Club presentsJohn Wear, Executive Director of the Center for the Environment at Catawba College. Wear, Associate Professor of Biology and Environmental Science at the college will detail how the Center works both on and off campus to encourage sustainability initiatives and reduction of our ecological footprint. The Catawba College campus has one of the nation’s first “green” academic buildings and the Center recently installed more solar energy production capacity on our campus than all the other colleges and universities in the state combined. Pizza is served at 6:30, program at 7.
