Bizarre crimes from Charlotte Police files

NEVER TRUST A HOOKER: A 44-year-old man said his money and property were stolen by a prostitute he invited to his apartment. He brought the woman home to have sex, he paid her and she left. But she didn't leave with just the cash the man gave her; she took his coat that contained $365 and his cell phone.

DADDY DOESN'T PLAY THAT: An 18-year-old went to his father's house to pick-up his W-2 Forms. He said his father saw that he got a tattoo and started fussing about it, so mad that he hit him upside the head and in the face. He suffered scratches and bruises to his forehead and face.

A SUREFIRE WAY TO GO TO JAIL: Police arrived at a group home on Monteith Drive in response to an assault call. A victim at the scene said the suspect scratched her with a pen. While officers were still at the scene interviewing the victim, the suspect went on a rampage and kicked another victim and punched several holes into the wall. He was then taken into custody.

THE SET-UP: A man called police to inform them that someone put illicit drugs inside his vehicle in an attempt to cause him harm by falsely violating drug possession laws. He said he didn't give anyone permission to enter his vehicle and doesn't know who was trying to set him up.

A FATHER AND SON ASS WHOPPING: A 23-year-old man and his 52-year-old father called police to their home because they were both assaulted. The man did not go into detail about what happen, only saying that a member outside of their family assaulted him by hitting him in the head with a glass bottle during an argument. The suspect then took his aggression out on the man's father and pushed him against a wall.

BROTHERLY LOVE: A 26-year-old said an argument with his brother got so bad that the brother hit him in the face numerous times with a closed fist. He was shocked that his brother got so violent with him and he is contemplating pressing charges.
