The Blotter

BUMPER CARS OF LOVE: In separate incidents on the same day, two rebuked loverboys figured the best way to win back their sweeties' affection was by committing aggravated assault and hit and run. In one incident, a jilted paramour rammed his girl's car from behind while she was driving down 1-277. He then followed her off the interstate, and struck her vehicle a second time. When the pair finally came to a stop, the deranged dude exited his vehicle and slammed his fist on the woman's car trunk. In the second incident, after ramming his car into his live-in girlfriend's vehicle multiple times, nearly forcing her off the road, our second Romeo then rolled down his window and threatened to kill the hapless woman. Police arrested him at the scene of the fracas.

THIEVING DOOFUSES: Two scummy scalawags accosted a woman and robbed her at gunpoint. The dopes then hopped into a car and fled the scene, while the woman noted the getaway car's license plate. Police promptly traced the number to an address where they found and arrested the dynamic duo, and also recovered all of the woman's stolen goods.

LOVE NEST: An apartment manager called police after he discovered an amorous couple hiding out in their old apartment, from which they had been evicted days earlier. The lovebirds fled the scene on foot.

BADGES? WE DON'T NEED NO...: A woman reported that an unknown person -- who identified himself as a police officer -- entered her residence and began snooping around. When the homeowner asked to see some ID, the mysterious stranger fled the scene.

CAUGHT IN THE ACT: As a man walked outside to borrow his friend's car, he noticed that the right rear window had been broken out, and then realized someone was inside the vehicle. He confronted the thief who then fled the scene with over $1,000 in stolen stereo equipment.

PHONE-Y THREATS: A homeowner has been the victim of ongoing harassing phone calls. During the most recent incident, the caller stated: "The fence you put up at your house is a joke, I'm gonna get you. If you don't like it, then come to my house and you'll die." The harassed homeowner says he's received similar calls from the same person for the past six months, and has recorded most of them.
