The Blotter

Your mama: When he couldn't reach the woman he was trying to threaten, a resourceful harasser phoned the woman's mom and left this message: "You better watch your back. There's no love lost between us. You better contact me. I can't be responsible for what happens." The victim of the threats told police she believed the harasser would attempt to harm her or damage her property. Three hours later these fears were realized when two bricks came flying through her bedroom window, breaking the glass and landing on her. The woman believes the two events were related.

Your mama, too: In a similar incident, a phone harasser couldn't get in contact with the male he wanted to harass. After calling seven times, he left this message: "Since you don't want to talk to me, I know where your mom works and I'll get her. I'll take what you owe me out of her." The harasser had left an earlier message stating, "If you don't give me what you owe me, I'll find you and take it out of your ass." Can you really take something out of someone's ass?

Grade school crime: An elementary school called police to report a fourth grader had communicated a threat to a classmate. The threat was probably for a wet willy and most likely included the pejorative "booger face."

Middle school crime: During last period at a local middle school, a teacher saw two students talking closely. The kids then made some sort of exchange. The teacher forced them to hand over the mystery goods. One student produced two small baggies containing a white powdery substance (suspected cocaine, but possibly flour). The bags and the kids were turned over to school security.

High school crime: A student was rocking out to her MP3 player when another student approached and ripped it out of her pants. Hmmm.

Juvenile adults: A woman stated that she and a friend were play-fighting when the fighting suddenly quit being pretend. The friend struck the victim in the face and pushed her down. Hahahahahaha.

Blotter items are chosen from the files of the Charlotte Police Department.
