The Blotter

Grave Trade: A woman bought a grave plot from a man for $225, because he convinced her he would turn around and sell the plot for $2,800 and give her the profit. The man called back the next day and asked for $100 more, which she gave him. She has not seen or heard from him since. People deal in grave sites?

Leatherface in the Queen City: An unknown zombie monster broke into a man's garage and stole a chain saw. It was valued at $300.

Thanks A Latte: A downtown Starbucks employee observed a suspect take a dollar out of the tip jar and put it in his pant pocket. The barista had witnessed this man steal out of his college fund before. He tracked down an officer and pointed out the man. The buck was discovered in the man's pocket and returned to its home in the tip jar to be divided 11 ways amongst the other baristas. The suspect, who didn't have any identification, was arrested for larceny. Next time go for bigger loot.

Don't Cross This Lady: After getting in an argument with his ex-girlfriend, a man tried to leave his driveway. He didn't get very far. First, the woman grabbed his shirt and pulled his braids. Then, she sideswiped his car with hers and attempted to hit him with her vehicle. Next, she keyed the left quarter panel of his El Camino. During the fracas, the man's sunglasses fell off his head. When the woman left she made sure to run over and shatter the shades.

Narrowing Down The Suspects: A 30-year-old man reported his 1997 red Honda Accord had been stolen. The man described his vehicle as "having a sun roof" and "being very clean."

Threat Of The Week: A woman informed a 22-year-old woman that she was on her hit list, that she was going to kill her and that she would also damage her vehicle.

Duh Award Of The Week: A woman was driving southbound on Graham Street when a suspect drove up beside her, jumped out and kicked the woman's car. The woman believes the act was in reference to road rage.

Outside The Box: A man was sent to a hospital after being punched, kicked and then stabbed with a box cutter. He was not a box.
