The Charlotte Literary Festival schedule 

Aug. 12-13

Presented by WTVI in association with RealEyes Bookstore

More than 80 authors and 100 vendors on site,

Aug. 12-13, 10 am to 6 pm.

Most authors will be under one tent.

Live bands (Soulganic, the Barnettes, etc.), poets, step teams, etc.

Kids' corner: boxing, storytellers, arts and crafts,

and face painting.

Food vendors.

Please bring canned items for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and get a free T-shirt.

Saturday, Aug. 12:

10am: How to start your own business

11am: How to get your book published

12pm: How to market your book and make money

1pm: How to get grants for artists and authors

2pm: Traditional versus self-publishing

3pm: How to make reading fun for kids

4pm: How to package and market poetry

5pm: How to get into the music industry, featuring EPMDs Paris Smith

Advance tickets $10

Sunday, Aug. 13:

6pm: Nikki Giovanni, Omar Tyree and Crystal Andrus at the Neighborhood Theatre Advance tickets $25
