“The Mauney Brothers’ Civil War” Presentation and Book Signing by Lawrence Lohr
Kings Mountain Historical Museum is pleased to announce that the Civil War diary of William Andrew Mauney has been digitized and published online through the NC Digital Heritage Center. To celebrate the publication, historian and author Lawrence Lohr will present a program about his book, The Mauney Brothers’ Civil War. The book chronicles the Civil War experiences of the Mauney brothers, Jacob, Andrew, and Peter. The war would claim the life of one of the brothers; the other two would go on to have a major role in the establishment of the City of Kings Mountain and the area’s industries.
