JazzArts Charlotte’s virtual live music series presents Raleigh-native trombonist Mitch Butler.
Mitch Butler has been trombonist for several critically acclaimed musical groups, including Grammy winning New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and international award-winning JazzBonez. Butler served as musical director for vocalist Tiffany Austin for her album Unbroken. Butler has performed or recorded with greats Dee Dee Bridgewater, Curtis Fuller, Derrick Gardner, Slide Hampton, Conrad Herwig, Branford Marsalis, Bob Mintzer, and many others. A dedicated educator, Butler serves as Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at UMKC.
