There's no letting the cat out of the bag about the latest in Blumenthal's Broadway Extra series. Cats, a long-timer and Tony Award-winning musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber — adapted from T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats — claws its way into Belk Theater for a six-day run. The stage transforms into a junkyard overthrown by a cast of well-costumed feisty felines who want much more than just to be fed and patted on the head. Those looking to succumb to fur balls and melodic meows are in for a lively and memorable experience. No catnip necessary. $20 and up.
