Carolina Actors Studio Theatre has a way of making folks take a deeper look into the psyche. Its latest production, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde adds a strange case of experimental touches to 19th-century author Robert Louis Stevenson's already lurid novella, which has been spruced up for the stage thanks to Jeffrey Hatcher's dramatic adaptation. The tale of split personalities, transformations, deception, morality (good vs. evil), is gripping enough, and what better time than around Halloween to touch down.
