THEATER: The Opera Show at Davidson College

Monday, Jan. 25

Opera and theater combined has been known to produce some extraordinary works, such as the glorious Phantom of the Opera. But, this Monday at Davidson College's Duke Family Performance Hall something different -- and quite intriguing -- will hit the stage. Mitch Sebastian's The Opera Show gushes rapture with music, choreography, and costume coming together for a 21st century showcase of four vocalists, five dancers and eight musicians. The show -- which premiered in England in 2008 and is touring the US for the first time -- features three different acts. All-in-all it looks to be dreamy, yet cute, and charming, yet provacative, but see for yourself. For more information on The Opera Show, visit $8-$20. 8 p.m. Davidson College's Duke Family Performance Hall, 207 Faculty Dr. 704-894-2135.
