Titillating Noir

Thursday, July 26

Organizers of the Charlotte Literary Festival are revving up their engines for this year's edition -- and one of the lead-in events for the fest is the Soulful Sinful Readings series. Held in NoDa, this sensual new series presents erotic poetry and fiction read by local celebrities -- like 92.7 radio personality Ifé Moore, among others. The series started this Tuesday but continues to bring the heat tonight. (Catch another Literary Fest preview at this week's Pop Life. See The Scene for more details!) 9 p.m. $10. The Wine Up, 3306 N. Davidson St. 704-372-2633. www.wine-up.com.
