The buzz among horror fans on the Interwebs is strong for this opus, presented locally by the Back Alley Film Series and the Charlotte Film Community. The connecting tissue involves a band of small-time crooks and what happens when they’re forced to watch a series of videocassettes in order to locate a crucial piece of footage sought by their employer. Various writers and directors (including The Innkeepers' Ti West) are responsible for the individual horror vignettes playing out on the videos the characters are watching, terror tales involving a mysterious cult, paranormal activities, a femme fatale and more.
