Four artists reflect on the intersection of architecture & nature through the use of form, texture, & surfaces. Sharon Dowell (Charlotte)finds beauty in overlooked structures & spaces. Mark Gordon (Wilson) approaches claywork as experimental creation. Isaac Payne (Charlotte) explores pedestrians’ views through draftsmanship, subtle palette of painting & drawing media, & layered paper surfaces. Patricia Steele Raible (Charlotte) integrates painting with textures, images, & words to narrate her stories, focusing on life’s facades.
