Things CL loves about the Q.C.

Things CL loves about the Q.C.

Latta Plantation. Sure, there's the farmhouse (open for tours), but we're more interested in the outdoor offerings: hiking, horseback riding, picnicking, and just plain ol' scenery-gazing. (5226 Sample Road, Huntersville)

-- Matt Brunson, film editor

Creation Restaurant. Great food! The folks there are so friendly when you walk in there, it's like a second home. (1221-A The Plaza)

-- Licy Martinez, ad coordinator

Scott and Woody at Buckhead Saloon. They keep the party going and I love dancing to the crowd favorites they always play! (201 E 5th St.)

-- Lauren Tigrett, marketing coordinator

  • On Saturday, Oct. 21, hundreds gathered at Camp North End on Statesville Avenue for Charlotte's first black alternative music festival. We captured some of the bands in action on stage, but mostly we surveyed the grounds as fans, families, vendors and more lounged around the sprawling, colorful Camp North End site. It was a great day of music, food, fun, and sweet, autumn sunshine. (Photos by Mark Kemp)
