You have a number of pots on the stove, and you must continue to tend to them. Meanwhile, Mercury is retrograding in your sign and keeps many things on hold. One decision is definitely pending and you are not yet ready to make that final conclusion. Don't force it.

For All Signs: The winter solstice this year is timed at 6:39 p.m. EST on Dec. 21. This is the point of the year at which the northern hemisphere is tilted furthest from the sun. Therefore our nights are longest at this time. Ancient people of the north celebrated the "return" of the sun within a few days following the winter solstice, at the point when it became apparent that the sun would, indeed, return to bring heat, light and life back to the people. This holiday was widely celebrated among the pagans (country people) at least as far back in time as the dating of Stonehenge in the British Isles, carbon dated at 2500 B.C.E. to 1700. This year's winter solstice is punctuated by a full moon eclipse at 3:13 a.m. EST. Eclipses create crises out of smoldering circumstances. The eclipses and equinoxes of 2010-2012 are dramatic from an astrological point of view, and many unusual events will be occurring in the days before and after.

Aries: Use extreme caution when dealing with any situation that is potentially volatile. Do not use force to accomplish your means now or it will be used against you. Be wary of parking places that might change character after dark. The energy in your field is best used in clean competition, whether with yourself or someone else.

Taurus: Warning to those on diet and exercise programs: this week it is just too easy to break training. If you mean what you've promised to yourself, don't go anywhere in which you would be in harm's way. It is a time in which you feel more outgoing and extroverted. Social life is a pleasure.

Gemini: Decisions are pending concerning your investments and other money matters. Don't press yourself to a conclusion now, while Mercury is retrograding. Wait until the first of the next year. Your attention is going to shift toward people interests, social life and relationships with significant others for the next month.

Cancer: Pay attention to new people you meet and what they tell you now. You are likely to encounter one who can help you find the next step in your career/work in the world direction. This person may be introduced to you through the activities of your significant other. Make note of fresh information that enters your life.

Leo: You have numerous aspects this week, which means you have multiple projects and goals to handle. Events near the 16th through the 18th may add a surprise or two for you to absorb concerning financial matters. For those so inclined, sexual activities may increase with a fresh twist.

Virgo: Bookmark new people or fresh information that comes your way near the 16th. Nothing will come of it right now, but early in January another opportunity occurs to take advantage of a positive circumstance. Those who are looking for a lover or a playmate may be happily surprised at these times.

Libra: You are in a high-energy zone this week! You want to go everywhere and do everything at once. You feel generous to others and they to you. If money is an issue, then you would be better off to leave credit cards at home because spending money will be as easy as drinking water.

Scorpio: You are the initiator in every arena of your life. You feel strong and confident and you may feel as though your very life depends upon making your point of view heard and acknowledged. No doubt others will let you speak, break in line, or generally do what you want to do.

Sagittarius: Now is a fine time to show off some of the favorable changes you have made to your home in the past year. Another option is that you may be traveling to see "home" and family members. Regardless, the energy is positive and you are riding high.

Aquarius: You may have one or two surprise expenditures. Your mind is easily bored this week, so find a variety of interesting things to read or new things to do. You are feeling independent, so you may want more alone time than is the norm. You need this occasionally to restore your energy.

Pisces: Off and on this week, people around you will be reflecting favorable comments your way. Don't discount them or their comments. They are sincere. But that which could be considered disturbing gossip does not count. Ignore it. There will be a couple of surprise shifts of schedule through the week.
