Weekly horoscope for April 7-13, 2010

Aries The Ram (March 20-April 19): This was a period of apprenticeship. Between fall 2007 and fall 2009, it was time to perfect your broad index of experiences. If there are any of your accumulated bits of wisdom you forgot to process, the next few months will bring them to your attention

For All Signs: Saturn, the taskmaster, is returning to the sign of Virgo for a last pass. It will be in Virgo through July 20 before it returns to Libra for the next two years. It will have more effect on people born toward the end of their signs, roughly after the 15th of your birth month. The recent transit of Saturn through Virgo ran from the fall 2007 to October 2009. I am going to take you back to the time before November 2009, for the flavor of Saturn in Virgo. The recipe will be stirred again through July. Read below for your sun and ascendant (rising) signs.

Taurus: The Virgo cycle of Saturn has asked you for serious application of your creative energy. There should have been encouraging responses from the world if you were on the right track. If you missed anything, the next few months will bring it to your attention.

Gemini: The last cycle of Saturn has been a time to lay the foundations for the next 28 years and it began with inner work. Family and property concerns may have dominated for a time. If something has not been repaired in that department, you will find it sooner than later.

Cancer: The Virgo cycle of Saturn called you to define and clarify your level of knowledge. Learning to speak volumes in a few chosen words has been an important feature of your recent development. If you need some touch up, the next three months is your opportunity.

Leo: The last Saturn cycle in Virgo has asked you to more clearly define your values. You may have fewer resources available now, whether that refers to money, energy or time. You have been likely to voluntarily forego expenditures on immediate pleasures for longer range objectives.

Virgo: The Virgo Saturn has called for redefinition of yourself. The old way was good for a long time but it outlived its purpose. Focus your attention on personal identity and tighten up all life agendas to match who you wish to become.

Libra: The previous Saturn cycle asked that you be directed inward, in preparation for a new self-definition during the years 2010 through 2012. The next three months give you one more chance for spiritual refurbishing and R&R before you begin living with Saturn in your sign.

Scorpio: Saturn's travels through Virgo called you to take responsibility for your niche in life and clarify the role you wish to play in society. You have learned much about your social world. It was time to consider extending these gifts beyond the personal and offer them in service to a larger group.

Sagittarius: For those who were happy with life direction of 2007, the following two years brought greater responsibility. Long term goals and desire for achievement in your outer life may have pressed you to temporarily sacrifice personal life and leisure. By now you are deeply into the new direction.

Capricorn: The recent Saturn cycle called upon you to take your beliefs seriously and commit yourself to establish practical ways in which to manifest them. The world required that you expand your usual territory to include a larger social structure. The next four months offer one last round of these experiences.

Aquarius: Saturn in Virgo required you to focus on the consequences, responsibilities and liabilities of sharing resources with others. Resources may have been reduced for a time. The next four months bring one last period of belt tightening.

Pisces: The recent Saturn cycle rivets attention on the quality of your important relationships. It has been a time to release those persons who were wasting your precious time and energy. Clean up that which is left.
