Weekly horoscope June 23-29, 2010

Cancer The Crab (June 21-July 21):

Your plans and ideas may be challenged by another at this time. If you have done the necessary groundwork, you will emerge the winner. Do your best to generate a win-win situation out of the duel, and avoid a frank battle of wills.

For All Signs: We have entered an eclipse "season" in which a full moon eclipse is followed by a new moon eclipse (July 11). The full moon eclipse occurs on June 26 at 7:30 a.m. EDT. As I have written in previous articles, this summer is loaded with tense and potentially explosive aspects. The eclipse this week is punctuating those tensions with an extra smack that has already begun and will likely continue through the summer. This is where houses built of cards will stagger toward a fall. That includes global, national, regional and personal arenas. Hold in mind that the things that collapse were not initially sturdy. This is what we get for our lassitude.

Aries: You are feeling more than a little bit independent, so you may want more alone time than is the norm. Nothing can work fast enough to suit you right now. You are also particularly creative at this time. Find ways to do your projects without assistance.

Taurus: This is a frustrating week because you are unable to follow your path as desired. Instead you are relegated to take care of details and routines of life. Surprises may come from the legal, educational, publishing, and high tech sectors. ID theft is a possibility.

Gemini: You are chewing on an issue that is common for this period. You would rather not forsake the old for the new, but there may be no other way to do it. Think carefully about what is truly important to you now, at this time in your life.

Leo: You may see or hear about a wrongful doing committed by a co-worker or someone else in your environment. If it is serious enough to call for police, then by all means do so. If you can avoid the scene altogether that is the best possible choice.

Virgo: There may be a crisis with your children or a lover this week. There are elements of obsessive thinking and criticism involved. Be intentional about keeping an open mind and don't insist on a black-and-white answer. Ultimately this situation is about necessary change and growth through metamorphosis.

Libra: This is a week in which you may be asking yourself if we are in a Mercury retrograde period. The answer to that question is "no." However, your ruling planet Venus is caught in a variety of brambles and small potholes, of the type that interfere with forward motion.

Scorpio: It is of paramount importance that you control your mouth this week. Although you have an opinion about whatever is happening, let it go and say nothing unless asked for it. Being "right" is not as important as maintaining human relations.

Sagittarius: This is a time in which your exuberance and enthusiasm may carry you farther than you really intended to go. You will certainly have more energy to do whatever you choose, but take care that you don't promise way more than you can deliver.

Capricorn: The eclipse of this period is in your sun sign and may have brought a health matter to your attention that must be addressed. If not, congratulate yourself on good personal care.

Aquarius: You have some thoroughly unique ideas on how to solve a problem, but the "rules and standards" are getting in your way. It is possible that this is going on entirely within your own mind. Don't allow your inner critic or anyone else to beat on you.

Pisces: Several planetary aspects urge you to break loose, be free, and self-indulge. But a different group of planets is warning you to take caution and stay within personally healthy boundaries. It is up to you.
