WFAE's Public Conversations Series - Politics in the Street

A community forum to discuss First Amendment freedoms and related issues surrounding the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. The conversation will focus on anticipated protest activities during the DNC and preparations by local officials to handle large-scale demonstrations. The forum will also explore the challenges between balancing freedom of speech and the right to assemble and the need to maintain public safety and livability during the DNC. Free admission; reservations requested.
