Workshop: Painting Abstracts with Spontaneity

Ages: 18 and up. Participants should have a basic knowledge of color, composition, values, shapes, etc. Learn how to loosen up, let go, and utilize line, shape, value, color, texture, and spontaneity to move beyond the realm of representational painting to produce work that is bold, colorful, and personally expressive. This workshop is for acrylic, watercolor or oil. Students will participate in short, timed sessions and group critiques. Both days will include instructor presentation and demonstration. Supply list at time of registration. Instructor: David Kessler. Minimum: 6.
