The Charlotte Roller Girls, the Queen Citys only all-female, flat track roller derby league, had a bout against the Richmond-based River City Rollergirls at the Grady Cole Center on Saturday, April 18. The CRGs fell short of a win in this close match.
The next home bout for the Charlotte Roller Girls is on May 17 when they take on the Columbia (SC) Quad Squad. Tickets are on sale now at www.charlotterollergirls.com.

Charlotte's Local Music Showcase rocked out at the Visulite Theatre Saturday. The Showcase was organized to get musicians, promoters, publicists, critics and just about anyone else who is musically involved all under one roof.
Performing bands were Transmission Fields, The Not Likelys, Order of Chaos, Crossfire, The Omega Cell and Junior Astronomers.
