Student shot and killed at a Tennessee high school:

A law enforcement official said a 16-year-old student was shot and killed Thursday morning in a Knoxville, Tenn., high school cafeteria. The shooting took place at Central High School, where the suspect was taken into custody six minutes after the shooting. AP via CNN

U.S. & Iraq close to signing troop deal:

The United States and Iraq are close to completing the terms of a bilateral pact that might outline how long U.S. troops will remain in Iraq. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says the deal outlines Iraqi sovereignty. This comes after Rice met with Iraq's prime minister on an unannounced visit. Iraqi officials says U.S. troops are expected to be out of cities by June 30, 2009. RushPRNews via news services

Missing tots mom leaves jail on bond:

The mother of missing Orlando toddler Caylee Anthony walked out of jail on $500,000 bond with her lawyer Thursday morning. Casey Anthony, 22, is required to wear an ankle monitor now that she is released. Celebrity bail bondsman Tony Padilla said his company posted the $500,000 bond for Anthony, who is still a "person of interest" in her daughter's disappearance more than two months ago. Fox News

Tropical Storm Fay expected to hit Florida for the third time:

Stationary Tropical Storm Fay is expected to move ashore sometime Thursday. Rainfall from Fay could reach up to 30 inches in some areas, forecasters say. Alligators, snakes, and other wildlife were seen in some flooded neighborhoods after high water drove the animals away from their normal homes. AP via ABC News
