Larry Kissell wrote a letter to outgoing congressman Robin Hayes and shared it with the media.
Why? I have no clue. But since he shared it with the media, I guess we're supposed to pass it on to our readers.

Dear Congressman Hayes,
I hope this finds you well. I'm following up on the conversation we had on Election night. You mentioned a large casework backlog and as I assured you then, I want to make sure the constituents of the 8th district are served well through our transition. I know we share this goal. My staff has contacted your Chief of Staff and we understand you are sending letters to all of the people who have open cases and that it is the responsibility of those individuals to let your office know that they give you permission to pass on their files to us. I want to do all I can to help publicize this and encourage all people with open cases to contact your office and give that permission so that we can continue to work toward solving their issues.
I'm copying our local press on this letter in hopes they will help both our offices by spreading the word about how constituents can make sure their information is transferred.
Thank you again for your service. Please contact me if you have any other suggestions on how we can make sure this transition is smooth for the people of the 8th district.
Sincerely,
Larry Kissell
