News McCrory won't run for re-election

As many people suspected, Mayor Pat McCrory isn't g:
The Charlotte Business Journal has the text of his remarks.
He indicated he planned to seek office again at the state or federal level. Will he run for governor again? Seek U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick's seat (if she plans to give it up)?
This leaves City Councilman Anthony Foxx as the only declared candidate for the mayor's office, to my knowledge.
