News Ga. lawmakers want to elect president by popular vote

And no, the push doesn't come from Republicans upset by Obama's win. Democrats in the Georgia legislature filed the legislation.

N.C. lawmakers also have pushed such a measure in the General Assembly — unsuccessfully, so far.
