First Drip (10/10/13): Denied marriage licenses, S.C. guy cuts the grass at Lincoln Memorial, more

Three same-sex couples requested and were denied marriage licenses yesterday at the Mecklenburg County Register of Deeds. 

The city of Charlotte audits Charlotte-Douglas, finds inaccurate and missing information. According to a story on WFAE, "City Manager Ron Carlee say he's merely out to make sure Charlotte-Douglas is the best-run airport in the country, and if the navel-gazing turns up some lint, so be it." 

There are talks the House GOP will agree today to increase the debt ceiling for a few more weeks. 

This South Carolina guy was spotted mowing the lawn of the Lincoln Memorial yesterday.
