Music / Arts Star-studded Jesus Christ Superstar starring Johnny Rotten and Brandon Boyd?!?

This is not a late April Fool's Day joke. The touring production of Jesus Christ Superstar, featuring Brandon Boyd, Johnny Rotten Lydon, JC Chasez and Michelle Williams, is coming to Time Warner Cable Arena on June 11. Yes, you read that right.

Boyd, singer of the band Incubus, will play the part of Judas Iscariot in the Tim Rice/Andrew Lloyd Webber rock musical. *NSync vocalist Chasez will play Pontius Pilate. Lydon, of Sex Pistols fame, will play King Herod. Williams is set to play the female lead as Mary Magdalene.
"I'm here to sing with the King of the Jews, who could ask for anything more?" said Lydon in a press release.
Ben Forster, who played Jesus in the U.K. and Australian arena tours will reprise his role.
Tickets go on sale on April 11 at 10 a.m. the arena box office and ticketmaster.com.
