Like many bands that play simply for the love of music before getting the high-profile gigs, Jeff spent six years music writing without pay for a newspaper in Greensboro, N.C., before landing in Charlotte in the spring of 2007. While his start in journalism and music writing began at Auburn University in the mid-90s, his love of music began much earlier. His first show was seeing George Thorogood at Madison Square Garden in the late-’80s, followed by Pink Floyd on Long Island soon after that. He couldn’t possibly tell you how many shows he’s been to since then. Since he also has a photography hobby, he can often be seen at concerts with a camera in hand, in addition to a pen and paper.
