UPDATED: Local musician Luke Hill a victim of hit-and-run last night

Police are looking for the driver who hit a pedestrian near the corner of East 36th Street and The Plaza at around 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Luke Hill, guitarist for the band Animals, was walking home from work when he was struck by the car.

A benefit show has already been planned for Hill, who was featured in this year's Lust List, to help with his pending medical bills. According to a GoFundMe page that was set up, Hill suffered a broken arm, fractured ribs and a brain bleed. He underwent brain surgery to relieve pressure and was in a medically induced coma.

The benefit show will take place at 8 p.m. on Nov. 15 at the Neighborhood Theatre featuring music by Flagship, Jeremiah Wilde, Warsong, Solis and Animals. A $10 donation is suggested.

UPDATE: Luke is awake and responsive, but in a lot of pain, according to updates on the GoFundMe page.

Proceeds from the Friday night performance by comedian Dave Reinhardt at UpStage NoDa will go to benefit Luke Hill.
