15 Short Film Festival will be held at 7 p.m. this Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Evening Muse. Created by Antonio Diaz of Charlotte and Ryan Walker of Pasadena, Ca., the event celebrates the art of short movies (the “15” in the title means that no film may be longer than 15 minutes). Along with the flicks, the night will include live performances by Audioform, The Solos Unit and Idle Hands, as well as lifetime achievement awards given to filmmaker Chris Ivey, filmmaker Rob Stewart, Charlotte Observer movie reviewer Lawrence Toppman and yours truly.

Tickets cost $7 in advance and $10 at the door. For more info, go to www.15filmfest.com.
