The Nashville Songwriters Association International is sponsoring a Finger-Style Guitar Workshop by Stevie Coyle on March 8 at The Evening Muse.
Coyle is a multi-instrumentalist — a true music veteran who is working on his first solo album after recently departing from The Waybacks; known for their vintage folk music and on-stage collaborations with Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead at bluegrass festivals.
According to his Web site, Coyle had a recurring role in The Young and The Restless, appeared on Cheers, traveled as a stand-up comedian and never lost hold of his music. He sings, plays and teaches guitar.
The workshop begins at 1 p.m., is free to NSAI members and $25 for non-members. To sign up or join NSAI visit www.nsaicharlotte.com. Coyle performs at the Muse at 8 p.m. for $12.
