Outdoor Living: A 37-year-old southeast Charlotte woman called police after noticing that someone had stolen a white adirondack chair and one citronella lantern from her front porch.

No Kitchen Sink: A north Charlotte woman phoned police after finding her home was broken into and several items were stolen. Among the possessions taken from the 36-year-old were a 50-inch LG flatscreen television, a coffee table, a massage chair, a dialysis machine, a lawnmower, a pleather couch and three knock-off Coach purses.

A Panthers Fan Did It!: Police were called to the north Charlotte apartment of a 52-year-old man after someone kicked in the rear door of his residence and stole a 46-inch flatscreen television, a DVD player and a framed Cam Newton jersey — taking the definition of rowdy sports fans to a new level.

What Did They Do To You?: Police responded to a call from a 26-year-old man in Uptown after someone used a knife to cut and stab a backpack and a 12-pack of beer. No word on who attacked first … but we’re guessing it wasn’t the beer.

Another Thief Going To Hell: A 40-year-old woman called police after someone stole her phone from a southeast Charlotte church classroom. The woman’s daughter had placed the phone down on a table and walked away. When she returned, it was gone. The thief clearly hasn’t been paying attention to the sermons.

No Shame: A man walked into a east Charlotte 7-Eleven early one Sunday morning, grabbed a bottle of Corona and a bottle of Heineken and walked toward the counter. He placed $4 on the counter and told the clerk, “Call the police,” before walking out of the store. Not only was he short on the amount, but it was also too early to purchase beer on a Sunday.

Blotter items are chosen from the files of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
